a stall will not engage trans until a minimum rpm is reach depending on rpm range of the stall converter
yes as long as it is not the 350C lock up convertor and have or need the right stall for your needs.
sounds like a bad catalytic convertor
It could be that the torque convertor is locked and not slipping which it should do as the normal operation
I suspect you have a clogged fuel filter. If you are smelling something that smells like rotten eggs, it is your catilytic convertor.
could possibly be the torque convertor. wiil it go if you give it some gas going from neutral to reverse or does it still stall ? check shift linkage for pinching a wire when shifted , good luck !
Yes you can if you download a convertor like divx convertor.

Hey Bob==You don't say what kind of car it is but if it is a GM it can be the torque convertor needing a new solonoid. GoodluckJoe it is a 1990 420sel mercdes benz
there is a part on the transmission called the torque convertor solenoid ..intown driving your car is not moving very fast, out of town or freeway driving your creating alot of heat ,the torque convertor solenoid is going out ,soon it will stall intown also as it gets worse.you can have it replaced or you can unplug it and your car will run fine ..the purpose of the solenoid is to downshift your automatic transmission when coming to a stop ..you can try this to be sure it is this part..shift car to neutral as you come to stop if car does not stall then that's your problem.if it does then it is most likely something in your throttle body ,idle control solenoid etc.,
After the catalytic convertor. Sensor one is before the convertor.
There are 2. One in front of catalytic convertor and one behind the catalytic convertor.
Use an online convertor. Most are free just type free online convertor into a search engine
