You will start to wear out your ring and pinion gears. Little pieces of metal will start to float around in your differential and those will break off a bigger hunk of gear until one day a tooth comes off and wedges in your spider gears as you are going a corner on a cliff. Your front tire locks up sending your vehicle crashing over the side of the cliff. Good news if your mother in law is borrowing your car. Bad news if you are driving your kids to school. Just drain that stuff out of there and stop putting fluids where they don't belong.

No you cannot. You can go forwards but not backwards. You can put ATF 3 or 4 in a transmission that originally called for AFT2. But not the other way. ATF 2 doesn't contain the lubricants and conditioners of the newer ATF's and the transmissions need those additives to function properly.
My 2002 escape calls for mercron atf for power steering so yes.
In the automatic transmission? Yes, it will ruin it!
Yes, you can use synthetic ATF in a transmission that specifies ATF+4, as synthetic ATF is designed to meet or exceed the performance requirements of standard fluids. However, it's essential to ensure that the synthetic ATF is explicitly labeled as compatible with ATF+4. Always refer to your vehicle's owner manual or consult with a professional to confirm compatibility before making the switch.
