For the 1997 Mazda 323 160i with fuel injection, the timing marks can typically be found on the crankshaft pulley and the timing cover. The crankshaft pulley usually has a mark that aligns with a corresponding mark on the timing cover to indicate the top dead center (TDC) position. Additionally, the camshaft may have timing marks that align with notches or indicators on the cylinder head. Always refer to the specific service manual for detailed diagrams and instructions.

If you need to ask this question I would recommend getting the plugs done at a mechanic.
Perhaps spark plug wires have become porous due to age and are misfiring when they get wet
I have had the best luck using NGK. Obtain proper plug number and gap from owners manual.
Firing order for the 2.0L is 1-3-2-4. Spark plug gap is 0.043in (1.1mm).
well if u look at a Mazda 2007 youll see the wires are blue so if you look a the Mazda 1997 it is the same as Mazda 1996 the wire is pinky red on tht one.so the order will be 1996,1997,2007 there all sorted if this was the answer you were looking for.
