Timing chains on Hondas are replaced at engine rebuild time, and no sooner.
From introduction through 2001 model year they had timing BELTS.Starting with the 2002 model year they were equipped with CHAINS.
The 2011 sonata does not have a timing belt. It has a timing chain. Both engines have timing chains. The timing belts were last used on the 2006 model.

The 2007 civic has a timing CHAIN. Honda SIs had timing CHAINS from the very first model (2002) and the other standard Civic models had timing chains starting in 2006. So no need to replace it.
