normally 15to 20 degree split between return air and discharge..
replace? why not fix it?
The normal average AC air temp put out at the AC vents should be in the range of 40 degrees F. This also depends on the outside air temp.
Return air vents.........
Ceiling. Cold air fails
There should be at least a 12 degree split between the incomming air and the air comming out of the vents.
55 degrees to 60 degrees
you would turn the temperature down for cooler air temperatures in a car, in a house the air temperature coming out the vents does not change based on the thermostats set point
AC VENTS are in the correct position if they are open and free flowing. Some systems have a heat and an AC position for the vents. The AC position is so the cool air discharges from the vents higher on the walls or from the dash rather than floor or windshield in a car.
The air should be comming out of the defroster vents. If so, most likely, it is the vacuum line that controls the vents. It is on top of the engine below the air cleaner, and runs to the front right of the engine. Buy the replacment so you know what your are looking for.
One way to tell if you're low on coolant on a central AC unit is to feel the air coming out of the vents. If the air is warm or room temperature, it is a sign that you are low on coolant.
should be on floor.
Condensation forms on AC ceiling vents when warm air from the room comes into contact with the cold surface of the vent. This temperature difference causes the moisture in the air to condense and accumulate on the vent, similar to how dew forms on grass in the morning. It's a sign that the AC system may need inspection or maintenance to ensure proper operation.
