Seriously, there's alot of knowledge involved in rebuilding a transmission. If every Tom, Dick and Harry could do it we wouldn't need mechanics. Take it to a good tranny shop and have the work done. Figure on $1500. If the Cavalier isn't worth that much, replace the car. t
