warranty begins on day of purchase by original owner. if u buy a used car that should still be in original warranty, dont rely on manufacturer, honoring the warranty, as you are not original purchaser i have found it is difficult to get proper warranty work even if original purchaser, which is why extra warranties can be bought.most manufactureres warranties have the small print that basically says original purchaser, and not transferrable to second purchaser It begins the day of purchase by the original customer.
