The VIN on a '66 F-100 is located on the drivers door. That's where they are on both of mine.

It is on the engine block Actually cars of this era had no VIN number as we know it today. They however did have a manufactures data plate. It can be located almost anywhere on the vehicle. Look in the glove box, look under the hood on the firewall, the door post, even in the trunk.
