The oxygen sensor on a 1989 Chevy Celebrity is located in the rear exhaust manifold on top about the center.

It is located on the side of the Engine block.
The coolant temperature sensor on a 1989 Ford I6 4.9L engine is located on top of the engine, in the intake manifold. It notifies the engine when to turn on the cooling fan.
That is the knock sensor
replace the coolant sensor, the one next to the thermostat housing.
The coolant temperature sensor on an 89 Taurus with a 3.8L V-6 is located directly above the thermostat, where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. the sensor is positioned vertically and has 2 wires coming off of it.

located on the passenger side of the radiator. Single wire (spade connector), I believe it is green in color.
The oxygen sensor is in the middle of the exhaust manifold near the firewall.
