To change the sending unit on a 1993 Toyota pickup, first ensure the vehicle is turned off and disconnect the battery. Next, locate the fuel sender unit, which is typically found in the fuel tank. Remove the fuel tank and then detach the wiring harness and fuel lines from the sending unit. Finally, replace the old sending unit with the new one, reconnect everything, and reinstall the tank before reconnecting the battery.
