In the Land Rover Discovery 3, the hood release lever is located inside the vehicle, on the driver's side. It can typically be found near the footwell, to the left of the driver's seat, just above the brake pedal. How do you open the hood on a 2000 land rover discovery?
If it same as 94 Discovery then the bonnet/hood release latch is located hard left side under the glovebox. A 'T' pull toggle, grasp firmly and pull towards you (towards rear of vehicle) and you will hear (feel if unable to hear) the bonnet/hood unlatch. Then release your grasp and walk to front of vehicle where it is recommended to raise bonnet/hood slightly and (on my model) reach under the slightly raised b/h and move the locking latch slightly to the right and then raise bonnet/hood.
