Ah, well, see.... When you drive the car, the wheel spins. It is attached through a round thing, called a bearing, to a rigid object called a spindle or a knuckle. The spindle has to be able to move up and down to allow for bumps in the road and if it's a front wheel (or rear wheel with 4 wheel steering) it has to be able to turn for steering. The spindle is attached to the vehicle in at least three points to hold it steady. An upper control arm attaches to the spindle at the top of the spindle and keeps if from moving in a left/right direction. On some (but not all) vehicles it can also keep it from moving forward/backward and can push the spindle down and car up. It is usually attached to the spindle via a ball joint.
To remove a bike pedal, you will need a pedal wrench or a hex key that fits the pedal spindle. Turn the wrench counterclockwise to loosen and remove the pedal from the crank arm. Make sure to turn the wrench in the direction that matches the pedal's threading, which is typically opposite on the left side pedal.

To make spinning wheels, you will need a circular frame, a spindle, and a flyer. Attach the spindle vertically in the center of the frame and connect the flyer to the spindle. Add hooks to the flyer for the yarn to wrap around. Turn the wheel to spin the flyer, which will twist the fibers into yarn.
Counterclockwise as you view the cylinder from the rear of the revolver. Colts turn in a clockwise direction.
A turn where you face the opposite direction.
