It depends on the year, make and model because some a/c compressors do not cycle at all.
Make sure that you check the pigtail and the a/c clutch as well...........
Spray WD-40 on all the door hams. It will solve your problems.
Defective ignition switch or tumbler assembly.
Sounds like a faulty headlight on-off switch.
THIS WAS MY QUESTION, BECAUSE THE 3RD BRAKE LIGHT WAS BLINKING I THOUGHT THERE WAS A MAJOR PR0BLEM,TURNS OUT IT WAS THAT BOTH BULBS WERE BAD,CHANGED THEM AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE
check your wires you might have a nib somewhere or you have short to ground
Most likely cause is a faulty under bonnet pin switch
Take a look at the door jam switch. It is just like any other switch, it turns the circut off and on. If it has gone bad it might not be turning the circuit off.
bad door ajar switch inside one of the doors its in the striker assy
Question needs more information such as, does lights stay on on one side, or both, front and rear, does it flash, does it stay on even when you don't single.
Could be running backwards....reverse the leads and see if it stays cool running the opposite direction.
The dome light in my Impreza has a three way switch that in the full rear position remains off even with the doors open. In the middle position it is on auto so that when a door is opened it comes on. And in the full forward position it stays on constantly. If yours has a switch you might try moving it to the middle position or the full rear position per your preference.
try looking for the overide switch or auto lights and turn the other direction
