It is overheating. Probable causes are blocked filters, working too long (excess duty cycle) ot the system needs regassing.
The compressor needs to be changed. There is no more pressure in it. It keeps working but only hot air is comes out.
it is the compressor because it is a working machine ............... :P
Most commonly, the compressor is not working, the evaporator is blocked by dirt, the condenser motor isn't woring. A trained technician needs to evaluate
Refrigerant level low or cooling fan not working. worst case would be that the compressor no longer can build enough pressure and needs to be replaced
Yes, the discharge line from the compressor can be hot.Yes, the discharge line from the compressor can be hot.
Check to see if compressor is working - if not may be a bad fuse (at the compressor) or low refrigerant charge Make sure temperature control is working and is set to "cool" position
The wires are probably getting too hot.
There could be several reasons that could be the cause of your problem. But more than likely the compressor is not working or you have lost all of your coolant. If it's a window AC then get a new one, if it's a Central HVAC then find a good HVAC Tech to check your compressor and Coolant Levels.
If cooling fans stop working and engine runs hot wtih A/C on usually excessive head pressure will build in a/c compressor and refrigerant will discharge from system. cooling fans may have a bad fuse or relay should be repaired prior to recharging a/c
You don't.Suction temperature does.Suction line should be cold and sweating. That's what keeps compressor motor cool.Discharge will always be hot.
one of 2 answers...no r-134a left in system or the ac compressor isn't working
its a possibility that your car may be starting to over heat. when the engine ecm sees that the coolant temp sensor is reading higher than it allows . it will kick out the ac compressor and allow for the engine to cool down for a bit.
