A car alarm on a 2001 Buick may go off randomly due to several reasons, such as a faulty sensor, a weak battery, or issues with the alarm system itself. Environmental factors, like temperature changes affecting the sensors, or vibrations from nearby vehicles can also trigger false alarms. Additionally, worn-out wiring or connections may lead to erratic behavior in the alarm system. It's advisable to have the system inspected by a professional to diagnose and resolve the issue.

Suddenly in the last month, my 2001 Merc Sable panic horn goes off randomly. I can of course stop it with the remote panic button, but what is causing this? I can only guess that some other simialar radio signal is activating it. Maybe there is a better answer out there and how do we fix this. It goes off at all times of the night mostly.
