I had the same problem on my 1999 Trooper. I had the Flashing Check light on the TOD panel AND the Check Engine light was on steady...Want to know what the fix was??? That means someone needs to check the 2 VSV's near the front axle. They are more then likely stuck and need to be taken apart and cleaned.
