To remove the water pump from an Isuzu Bighorn, start by draining the coolant from the radiator and disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Next, remove any components obstructing access, such as the serpentine belt, radiator hoses, and possibly the timing belt or cover, depending on the engine model. Unbolt the water pump from the engine block, clean the mounting surface, and replace the gasket before installing the new pump. Ensure to refill the coolant and check for leaks after reassembly.
It's on the front of the motor, kinda towards the bottom of the block. You have to take the timing belt cover off to replace the water pump.
To replace the water pump on a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable and draining the coolant. Remove the serpentine belt, and then take off the timing belt cover to access the water pump. Unscrew the pump from the engine block, clean the mating surface, and install the new pump with a new gasket. Reassemble everything by reversing the disassembly steps, refill the coolant, and reconnect the battery.

You have to remove the timing belt to get at it if it's a v-6 Not an easy task If it's a four cyl you need a special tool to hold the pump gear or you will have to take the chain apart
The crank mark is inline with the key facing straight up timing marks on diesel pump and oil pump you take the thin metal covers off both gears only the covers not the gears there are x1 hole in each gear that you screw a bolt with a 12mm head on it to lock them in place.
