The contactor on the outdoor unit is probably stuck. Disconnect the power to the indoor unit, then disconnect the power to the outdoor unit and take a look at the contactor.
A bad thermostat can cause overheating in a Nissan Frontier when the air conditioning is turned on. A bad compressor can also cause this.
A computer is loading data when it is turned on and the operating system is being loaded.
The compressor is probably froze up.
The only fluid in an air conditioning system is the compressor oil - the refrigerant itself, if you were in a situation where you'd be able to see it before it turned to a vapor, would be clear.
A Vehicle Air Conditioning System Uses ElectricityWhen the air conditioning switch is turned to the on position two things which use electricity are turned on:The electromagnetic "clutch" which is mounted on the A/C compressor uses electrical current, AND the "blower" motor that circulates air over the A/C evaporator core also uses electricity.
booting
An operating system can't run if it is turned off or has crashed.
The AC relay in a Ford Escort controls the operation of the air conditioning system by supplying power to the AC compressor when the system is activated. When the AC is turned on, the relay closes, allowing electrical current to flow to the compressor, enabling it to compress the refrigerant and circulate it through the AC system. If the relay fails, the AC system may not function properly, leading to issues such as lack of cooling.
If you are talking about the compressor on the engine, you may have a bad fuse, bad clutch on the compressor, or too high of pressure in the air conditioning system. If you are talking about the fan motor in the ac/heater assembly, possible blown fuse or bad motor.
Generally it's called "booting up" the system
Booting up ..! A boot process is a step by step process with which a computer loads the operating system.
When air conditioning or front defroster are turned on it will turn on A/C compressor which requires the A/C condensor to be cooled (via radiator fan).
