Check your ignition module. When it gets warm or hot it loses spark if its faulty.
Check radiator fluid. You are probably low. That's what my 01 does when the coolant is low.
pump the breaks as you turn the key. If that doesn't work, hold down the break pedal until you hear a click. My 96 galant does that
Yes it does. Mine is down right now with bent vavles at a minimum.
Freeon is leaking, or the condenser isn't cooling, so the system shuts down.
I had the same problem trying to locate the port for the OBD II on the Mitsubishi 2003 Galant.. It turns out that it is on the drivers side, under the dash where the steering wheel is located. I had to get on my back with a flashlight to get to it, but it is pretty easy to spot when you are down there.. Mine was White. I hope this helps you out..
The eagle 2000 gtx is the exact same car as the Mitsubishi Galant, and the similar Galant had production years from 1989-1993, from my sources anyways. Either track down a repair manual for the Galant or go to alldata.com and pay the $20 for the online repair manual version to the Galant.
This would indicate a bad wire or bad master switch.
The EGR Valve is located at the back part of the Engine. When you open the hood, you may bow down next to the wall at the back of the engine and you can see 2 hoses that goes into it. To know what it looks like, type it in Google, 2001 Mitsubishi Galant EGR Valve then take a look at it on the location that I have said.
on an auto transaxle, look (from front of veh.) down close to the fenderwell, under the battery plate. you will find a dipstick handle.
OK i have a '93 Galant of my girlfriends that I am trying to wire. This is what I found that helped me out the most. Go down to Chrysler/Mitsubishi Joint and it will show you the color in the dash...and the Modern harness color. http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/DCP-Wiring.pdf That helped me alot. Only problem its says is not to use the illuminator or dimmer wires.
Sometimes it's the Emergency brake, sometimes it doesnt go all the way down. I had to pull, it release it, pull it, release it etc....
pump the breaks as you turn the key. If that doesn't work, hold down the break pedal until you hear a click. My 96 galant does that
