The AC compressor in your car may not kick on due to issues such as low refrigerant levels, a faulty compressor clutch, electrical problems, or a malfunctioning pressure switch. It is recommended to have a professional mechanic diagnose and repair the issue.
You are low on refrigerant, google R134a...
your compressor will not kick on if not enough pressure in system
The ac compressorThe ac compressor
Fuse, low refrigerant, bad compressor clutch, or relay.
AC Compressor has died and needs replacement. The compressor will not turn therefore building pressure in the low side.
You probably need a new air filter for your a/c The clicking is probably caused by the clutch on the compressor. If the Ac isn't charged enough it could cause this to kick the compressor off and on. You compressor could also be bad. You werent real clear what the problem was. Hope this helps.
If you have climate control, it will work like that when it's on auto.
If it is too low on coolant the ac compressor will not engage. It is a safety feature to keep from burning it up. Try to add freon and as the pressure builds the compressor should kick on. If you are sure you have adequate coolant; it could be anything from electrical to a frozen compressor.
The AC Compressor will kick on and off to maintain approx 32 psi on the suction side of your Air Conditioning system. This creates a continuous cycle of Freon which will change from a Liquid on the suction side into a Gas on the Pressure side. During this exchange from Liquid to Gas cold air is created to cool your space.
Check the Freon with a gauge. If the pressure is too high or too low then the system will not allow the compressor to run.
It's expecting the AC compressor to kick on to help the drying process. If you don't have AC, then I'm puzzled too..
