probably have a loose or broken wire that moves and grounds out when press the brake locate wire and replace it

Most likely it is either the brake light switch, under the dashboard, connected to the brake pedal or the turn signal switch inside the steering column.
Sounds like a bad Brake Light Switch. It's located on the steering column.

Your Brake Lights. It's mounted on the Steering Column and is very easy to change. Around $10 at your local parts store.
