It can be done and is fairly easy if you have the right tools. Adjusting caster, camber and toe on most cars is usually a matter of adding/subtracting shims on your a-arms, adjusting tie rods. You have to buy one of the kits that has the alignment head that attaches to one of your wheels, have a shim assortment, torque wrenches and good basic hand tools. bear i mind getting what you need to do it yourself will cost more than having it done professionally-most alignments only run about 30.00.

If you changed them yourself it is recommended that you get an alignment done or do the alignment yourself. If a shop or mechanic did the work they should have done the alignment themselves.

How do you get a perfect alignment?

To get a more accurate alignment just follow these steps. 1) when an alignment is performed on a vehicle, either with a computer or doing it yourself. (without a computer) Always adjust camber and caster angles first (if possible). Always adjust toe angles last. 2) If doing a 4 wheel alignment always adjust the rear angles first, camber, caster, then toe. Then perform the front end alignment. this will help you perform a better alignment on any vehicle.

Can you drive a car that needs an alignment?

You can drive it, but it will drive off to a side. But you should go get an alignment just in case. it gets worse the more you wait. You may also find that your tires wear out quickly and your fuel consumption increases. I was once at an alignment course years ago, the instructor sent a bunch of us out to bring in a car to align that was a no start. The alignment was way out. It took 6 people to push it into the shop and onto the rack. After the alignment was done it took one person to push it out. This shows the rolling resistance increase when the alignment is out. Somewhat similar to snowplowing while skiing to slow yourself down.

Can you do a alignment on a 93 suburban yourself and if so what are the steps or a website that can help?

Sorry partner. An alignment is such a complicated procedure it requires a computer and sensors connected to all four wheels. You could hit and miss adjust caster and camber but it would cost you more in tire replacements than getting an alignment done. Sears does a pretty good job at a reasonable price.

Are your tires out of alignment?

Tires do not get out of alignment they may be out of balance but not alignment. Your suspension however can be out of alignment. The only way to know for sure is to have it checked.
