The ground wire going from the cab of the truck to frame and/or the ground wire going from the back of the motor to cab ground. The reason is that the ground wires lay across the exhaust manifold and get burnt off after a years of use.
To wire the front turn signals on a 1971 VW Beetle, start by locating the turn signal housing and disconnecting the existing wiring if necessary. Connect the wire from the turn signal switch to the positive terminal of the bulb socket, typically a green wire. The ground wire, usually a brown wire, should be attached to the socket's ground point or the body of the car. Finally, ensure all connections are secure and test the signals to confirm they are functioning properly.
green... right turn yellow...left turn brown...marker and stop white....ground
The 1990 VW Jetta turn signals will not work when the ground wire is broken or corroded. The turn signals may need the lightbulb's replaced.
A bad ground wire is the most common cause of turn signals and brake lights not working. The ground wire connection might be corroded.
Might be bad ignition switch?? Check the ground wire as well. Check and clean if corroded: The Ground strap/wire from the frame to the engine The small ground wire from the battery to the body The Ground wire from the battery to the engine.
check for a loose ground wire
To find a bad ground wire in the turn signal wiring harness on a 2001 Jaguar, start by inspecting the wiring harness for any visible damage, corrosion, or loose connections. Use a multimeter to check for continuity between the ground wire and a known good ground point; if there's no continuity, the ground wire may be faulty. Additionally, you can test the voltage at the turn signal circuit while activating the turn signals to see if the ground is affecting the signal operation. If issues persist, consider tracing the ground wire back to its source for further inspection or replacement.
yellow left turn, green right turn, brown tail lights, white ground on standard 4 wire system brake lights will work off turn signals.
Sounds like a bad turn signal relay or you may have a loose ground wire on the circuit.
