Break out the tools and crack open the case with a flat bladed screwdriver and a ball peen hammer, make sure you drain it first (30mm), they're are 11 - 15mm case bolts. Spread your gasket maker over the slightly cracked opening which you have to try and do without getting gasket sealer all over the internals. Focus and concentration in the cramped workspace coupled with a good technique may work out. Then you have to bolt it back together and wait while the seal sets-up before you refill it with gear oil, this'll give you time to pray it still works. Your other option is to pull out the transfer case and take it to a shop and have it professionally rebuilt for around 6 bills. The shop will replace the seals and the other wearables in the unit and it'll come with a warranty. Or spend your afternoons whiling them away wandering the salvage yard landscape for a non leaking unit, Happy Trails!

To fix a Land Rover Discovery 1 transfer case that won't engage low range, first check the transfer case linkage for any obstructions or damage, as misalignment can prevent proper engagement. Ensure that the transfer case fluid is at the correct level and in good condition. If the linkage and fluid are fine, inspect the actuator and vacuum lines (if applicable) for leaks or faults. Lastly, you may need to examine the internal components of the transfer case for wear or damage, which may require disassembly and repair.

To prevent or fix light leaks on film when taking photographs, ensure that the camera's seals and hinges are in good condition, use a camera case or light-tight bag, and avoid exposing the film to direct sunlight when loading or unloading. If light leaks occur, consider using black tape to cover any gaps or cracks in the camera body.
The chain must be replaced, cannot be fixed. If you are able to remove and split the transfer case, the chain replacement should be easy for you. You may also want to replace the clutch plates and spacers if you are already in there. If you have never removed and opened a transfer case, you may want to consult this wiki again to ask about the procedure...
