To reset the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) on a Chevy Silverado, you can disconnect the negative battery cable and leave it off for about 15 minutes. This will clear any stored codes and reset the PCM. After the time has elapsed, reconnect the battery cable, ensuring a good connection, and start the vehicle to allow the PCM to recalibrate. Optionally, you can also use an OBD-II scanner to clear any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).

To check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes stored in the computer, turn the ignition on, then hold down the OFF and WARMER (for digital dash) or OFF and passenger-WARMER buttons (for analog dash) or OFF and "Info ^" buttons (if you have temperature dials) until all of the dash lights come on. The digital display will then show any codes stored. Be prepared to write them down. When it's done, you will probably see "PCM?" at this point use the fan speed up button to select pcm now it should say "PCM CODES" press the fan speed down button to scroll down to "CLEAR PCM CODES" press the fan speed up button and it should say "PCM CODES CLEAR" now turn off the ignition and your good to go.
To reset the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) on a 1999 Saturn, disconnect the negative battery cable and leave it disconnected for about 15 minutes. This allows the PCM to clear any stored trouble codes and resets its adaptive memory. After that, reconnect the battery cable, and your PCM will be reset. It's also a good idea to drive the vehicle for a while to allow the PCM to relearn its parameters.
Need to know what the symptoms are and any codes it has.
Finally solved the problem .... PCM failed and destroyed the coils ... also new coils so whentrying a known good PCM had no spark
Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for 30 seconds. The PCM will reset.
