try using a puller.(3arm puller or a bolt puller) its almost the same tool used to remove steering wheels.
I tried to remove my Hyundai Elantra 2002, im having a hard time pulling out the hoses. There is one screw that you have to remove on right hand side of the radiator, just beside those freon connection. I used a very small 10mm rachet.
If it's like most any other engine, it's most likely located in the metal water neck that the upper radiator hose attaches to. Follow the hose from the radiator to the motor and where it stops should be that housing. If not...sorry, I tried.
I just tried to pull headlights from a 1994 Avenger yesterday. Did you have the same problem as me that the bolts on the inside near the radiator were impossible to get free?
Yea - but you don't say if the radiator fan is coming on, when the temp guage goes up high, and it is supposed to do so
Hullo ! 93 explorer 4x4 - after readinga few things I tried tapping on the shift motor and could hear the 4x4 trying to engage - however I ended up blowing the fuse and paritally having it stuck in 4 wheel drive. I replaced the fuse and shift motor and now I get nothing at all - at this point I am stuck and needing help, anyone have any ideas ??? Also I have a heating problem - the heater takes a whle to heat and then will stop working for a bit and start heating again ! Any ideas ?? Thanks !
Being very careful, drill a small hole in the middle of the broken petcock. Using a tool called an easy out, you should be able to back out the broken off part. Take care not to drill sideways and hit the radiator threads.
Here is what the shop manual says. 1. Drop the head liner. 2. Disconnect teleflex cable end from sunroof. 3. Press sunroof button to "open" to disengage cable from motor gearbox. 4. Remove cover in trunk on LH side and disconnect motor wires. 5. Disconnect teleflex tube. 6. Remove unit. If the cable is frozen you have to disassemble the gearbox on the motor assembly. If the motor is dead you can manually open and close the roof from the motor assembly. As a side note you may be able to disconnect the teleflex tube at the motor and just run the roof open to disengage the cable from the gearbox. This would keep you from having to remove the head liner. I have not tried this but I would try is first Hope this helps.
No, they tried it on mithbusteres
No. Over the years, being a mechanic, I've tried every imaginable attempt at repairing the plastic and nothing has held. REPLACE THE RADIATOR. Usually radiator shops have the best prices.
Most likely cause is a corroded set of battery connections. remove, clean and re-install.
Try bodyshopzone.com, there is a breakdown picture by picture of how to at least remove the door panel. If you have already ordered a motor there may be directions with it
im asuming you have a 2.2 4cyl, if you do it is more accessable to remove the motor in order to drop the oil pan. i have tried to battle a 2001 with a 2.2 myself without removing the motor and its verry imposible. the pan sets on a skid plat with less than a inch of room between it and the pan. even with taking out the motor mounts and jacking up the motor my transmission hit the engine wall.
