lefty loosey righty tighty:)
Maybe try behind the harmonic balancer.Between the timing cover and the balancer itself.
I have not taken one off a 74 specifically but every one I have done required a Gear Puller. The puller will bolt to the Harmonic Balancer and the center bolt sets on the head of the Crank Shaft bolt. As you turn the center bolt in it will pull the balancer off.
To remove the harmonic balancer from a 1994 Oldsmobile 3.8, first disconnect the battery and remove any accessories obstructing access, such as the serpentine belt. Use a harmonic balancer puller tool to attach to the balancer and extract it by turning the center bolt, applying steady pressure. Ensure all bolts are removed and check for any retaining clips before fully detaching the balancer. Finally, clean the crankshaft before installing a new balancer if needed.
I had a 94 buick regal that did tis. It was a 250 dollar repair job. It was the piece that spins the power accessory belt on the engine. I think its called a harmonic balancer
You cannot fix or repair a heater core you must replace the complete unit with a new one...........
some wut of an Answeryou take off the center bolt then you rent/buy a harmonic dampener puller/installer and screw the three 3/8 bolts into the harmonic balancers body and pull it off by turning the center stud wich seperates the balancer from the crankshaft. and follow the same steps for re-installation now you are pressing the new balancer on the crank make sure the keyway on the shaft and the pulley are aligned or its gonna cost you a new crankshaft and if you replace the crankshaft might as well re-build the engine. It's obvious that before any thing you have to remove your belt/fanclutch and fan/ fan shrowd or you will not have any room to work.94 grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0berto
