There are at least two answers; one short and sweet and one long and involved.

1 Pay an experienced auto technician whom you trust to do it for you.

2 Buy a good manual specific to your vehicle or "Google" one on the web, read it through completely as many times as it takes until you fully understand what you are about to get yourself into. Depending on your skill and confidence level, this may convince you to reconsider choice #1. You will have to disconnect all electrical, fuel feed and return, vent and Fill lines from the tank, and the tank from the frame of the vehicle to gain access to the pump which is submerged within the tank. Keep "murphy's Law" in mind. I personally have never had a pump go bad when the tank was close to empty. If you have the optional 34 gallon tank(which will actually hold over 36 gallons) and it is full or close to full you will be Wrestling with over 200 pounds of sloshing, slopping, highly flammable GASOLINE.
