To replace the front differential bearing on a 2005 K1500, first, lift and securely support the vehicle. Remove the front driveshaft, differential cover, and drain the fluid. Next, remove the differential carrier by unbolting it from the housing, then replace the old bearings with new ones using a bearing puller and press for proper installation. Finally, reassemble the differential, refill it with fluid, and reinstall the driveshaft before lowering the vehicle.
i may be wrong, but if i recall correctly from high school automotives the wheel bearing has to stay with the wheel it was built for so you have to replace the whole wheel once again though i am not 100% on this

"Snug" will work
If you will lay down under the front of the truck and look up over the skid plate towards the center of the differential but to the right a little you will see a plug that a 3/8 rachett end will fit in. Remove it and put finger into hole if you touch oil then its full if not add gear oil until it runs out.
THere is a fill plug located approximately 2\3rd up from bottom. fill differential with Diff oil until level with bottom of the plug.
How do you replace a slave cylinder in a 96 chevey k1500
Aprox 4 and 1/2 pints.
The front differential of a 1998 Chevrolet K1500 typically holds about 2.5 pints (or roughly 1.25 quarts) of gear oil. It's always a good idea to check your owner's manual or service manual for the specific capacity, as variations can exist based on the specific configuration of the vehicle. When changing the oil, ensure to use the recommended type of gear oil, usually 75W-90 or 80W-90.
You replace it when it fails.
