1. Look at front of remote
2. Turn remote to the left to view the right side of remote, you will see a slot at the seam (center if the thickness of the remote) just opposite the bottom opening.
3. Place a slotted screwdriver (1/4 " wide maximum) or rounded knife into this slot about 1/4" deep
4. Hold the remote then turn the screwdriver or knife until the unit separates
5. Remove old battery by prying it from its location
6. Place replacement battery into the remote with the + side up
7. Place the two pieces of the remote back together
8.Apply sufficient force to close the unit.
Note: You will probably need to reprogram the remote unit (synchronize with the
car's unit) by standing within 5 feet of the car and pressing both the LOCK
and UNLOCK buttons at the same time for 7 seconds.
A chirp of the horn will indicate success.

Open the keyless remote and you will see the battery take it out and replace it with the same size.
Take a small common screw driver and twist it in the seam.
Cut open the remote with xacto knife , unsolder and replace the battery.
Split the remote open at the key fob loop.
You do not have to reset the keyless remote after battery replacement.
Most keyless remotes just snap together. Look closely for a small notch in the seam of the remote. A regular watch style battery is inside.
Your keyless remote might not work for your 2002 Chevy Tahoe because the battery in the remote is dead. You can replace this battery by prying the remote cover off of the back of the remote or by removing the screws holding the cover closed.
it seems you cant , seald unit
I was informed by a BMW dealer there isn't a battery to replace and you have to order a new remote and then have it programmed by the dealer.
Pretty simple, open the remote...most likely just snaps apart, replace with same part number battery
im guessing that your talking about the alarm/keyless remote. You will find that you have to get closer and closer to the car to be able to unlock it. You should replace the battery when you have to be within about 10ft from the car.
I took mine to radio shack and they did it for me! I've heard not to try and do it yourself
