a leak
One problem you might encounter when filling up a fuel tank is if the fuel pump is out of order, preventing you from dispensing gas. Additionally, if the fuel tank is damaged or has a leak, it could lead to fuel spills or safety hazards. Another issue could be a lack of payment options or insufficient funds, which would prevent the transaction from completing. Lastly, if the fuel type you need is unavailable, you would be unable to fill up your tank.
you find out were the water is coming from after you fill it up with water.
Every once in a while it will fix your evap leak if you replace the fuel cap, but usually the leak is somewhere else. A good repair facillity will have a smoke machine that can be used to fill the system with smoke and locate the leak by seeing where the smoke comes out.
because your car has a gas leak
Fuel gauge tells you when to fill up.
Where is the leak from? The fuel filler? The fuel tank? A fuel line? Does the leak occur only when the engine is running? Does the leak only occur when the vehicle is parked on an inclined surface?
If the gas isn't leaking while the engine is running and you have half a tank, then the problem is with the fuel tank itself. You either have a hole in the upper half of the tank, or the gasket for your fuel sending unit is leaking.
There is a fair amount of fuel that will leak when changing the filter.
