Most freight trucking companies will hire entry level freight brokers. Knowledge of freight, dispatching, and freight sales are all helpful to secure a position.
You can get a CDL. The real challenge is finding someone who'll hire you with a record like that.
Small companies who are short-handed.
Which trucking company will hire you with some type of blemish on your record depends on what what it is. You will likely not get hired for example if you have a DUI on your record. The bes thing to do is be honest about your record and try to explain what happened and ensure the company's that it will not happen again.
You need to find a local job. Check out this thread. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/trucking-jobs/26354-trucking-jobs-for-those-under-21-a.html
None you want to drive for. Any trucking company that would hire someone without looking at their DAC report would also cut corners on maintenance, demand you run illegal logs, and other abuses.
Trucking companies. It's a high turnover industry. You just have to get out there and look.
Most likely not unless you'd be driving your own truck.
Yes, there are a few trucking companies who are willing to give second chances, and whose insurance will allow them to hire you as long as the DUI/DWI conviction is at LEAST 3 years old from the date of CONVICTION, not arrest.
