Insufficient oil or problem with pump.
?? Lifters not getting enough oil ??
the lifters may need adjusting or replacing. your engine not getting enough oil causes the lifters to make noise. not sure what motor you have in it but if it's an engine where you can tighten the lifters then you can buy a tool for it if you know what your doing
lifters are normally quiet in operation check oil level if fine check oil pressure if ok could be wear on cam and lifters if so replace
Oil travels up the rods from the lifters and up to the high side of the rockers, it is supposed to run down by gravity from there.
low oil pressure could be one cause cold oil is heavier in viscoity and as it warms it gets thinner, the lifters are not getting the oil inside of them causing them to colaspe try having a new oil pump installed
Not enough oil pressure and / or the oil channel is plugged
Its ur lifters I have the.same.prob one of.ur.valves isn't getting that much oil
rislone
Yes, excessive oil can negatively affect lifters in an engine. Too much oil can lead to increased pressure, causing the lifters to become noisy or even fail due to improper hydraulic operation. Additionally, excessive oil may result in foaming, which can impair lubrication and lead to premature wear of engine components, including the lifters. It's essential to maintain the correct oil level for optimal engine performance.
That's not necessary. Either side will drain into the oil pan where the oil pump will circulate it through the lifters, which is how the treatment will actually treat the lifters.
There is no adjustment for hydraulic valve lifters. Lifters can be noisy on some of these models. After ascertaining there is no mechanical damage/broken parts, change engine oil and add 1/2 bottle of STP Oil Treatment (or more if necessary) until lifters are quieter.
you can try adding "lucas engine oil additive: but pretty much all that is happing is the lifters are little noisy until the oil circulates thru engine and lifters, basically not much you can do about it
