Old rope type seal. Rase engine drop pan lossing main berring caps, cranck will drop down a bit. Carefully remove seal materal. follow install directions on repacking the seal Rope type seal. if its a newer genII engine remove transmission & flexplate or flywheel from back of crank shalft. u will see the seal, carefully pry it out. Do not scratch the journal it rides on or problems will be a foot. lube new seal were it rids on crank journal tap it in and tourque everything down when putting it back 2gether. Either way it sucks 2b u pain in the but long day job. David G
the crank sensor is located on the back of the engine aprox. 1 inch above the oil pan. there is one bolt holding it in place, after removing the bolt pull the sensor out installation is reverse
