To get the headlight washer working on a Renault Laguna, first ensure that the vehicle's headlights are turned on, as the washer typically activates only when the headlights are in use. Check the washer fluid reservoir to ensure it has enough fluid, and refill if necessary. Finally, operate the windshield washer control on the stalk; this should also trigger the headlight washer. If it still doesn't work, inspect the fuses and the washer system for any blockages or malfunctions.

I also need to bypass the immobilizer on my Laguna. The central lock button on my 1996 Renault laguna doesn't work (open locks) and also the immobilizer light mounted on it is off. Nevertheless, there is power to the button. This led me to believe that there are no signals to or from the control box. Can anyone tell me where the central control box is located?

The horn on your Renault Laguna Estate may not work due to several reasons, including a blown fuse, a faulty horn switch, or a malfunctioning horn itself. Additionally, wiring issues or corrosion in the connections could also prevent the horn from functioning properly. It's advisable to check the fuse first, and if that's not the issue, examine the wiring and components for any signs of damage. If needed, consult a professional mechanic for a thorough diagnosis.

The headlight washers are supposed to spray when the windshield ones do. The headlight wipers should also come on. If there is no spray, it is likely because the little tee valve behind the grill is shot. Replacements are available from the dealer amazingly inexpensively. If the wipers don't work, you have a more expensive problem.
To take apart a Renault Laguna key card, start by using a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the seam along the edge of the card. Carefully work your way around to avoid damaging the casing. Once opened, you can access the internal components, including the battery, which can be replaced if necessary. Reassemble the card by snapping the two halves back together securely.
