Installing a 2.0 spark plug in a 1.8 engine may not provide the optimal performance, as the spark plug specifications (such as gap size and heat range) are designed for specific engine requirements. While it may physically fit, it could lead to issues such as incomplete combustion, misfiring, or reduced fuel efficiency. It's generally best to use the spark plugs recommended by the manufacturer for your specific engine to ensure proper performance and longevity.
Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Use some heavy gloves or a set of insulated pliers to hold the spark plug wire about 1/4-inch from the engine block (ground) and crank the engine - you should see a spark jump from the wire to the engine ground. For a better check, use another spark plug and put it on the spark plug wire and use it as a "jumper" from the wire to the engine ground.
Try starting the engine, pull the spark plug out and see if it is wet with gas, if it is you might not have any spark(possible from a fouled spark plug) or it might have low compression, put the plug into the spark plug boot and set the tip of the plug onto something that is metal on the engine and turn the engine over. you should see spark, no spark=ignition problem. If the plug is not wet the engine isn't getting any gas and you have a carburetor problem.
putting too much oil in any engine is not good... the oil can over flow to your spark plug... that can cause stall..
take the spark plug out of the head. then put the spark plug wire back on the spark plug. ground the plug on the engine you can do this by putting the plug any where there is metal and lay it on it. then turn engine over and see if you have spark. if not then do the same thing with just the wire by putting a Philips screw driver in place of the plug, ground it turn over the engine see if there is a spark if their is the plug is bad. if not then the coil or flywheel is bad more than likely it is the coil
The most that will happen if you put mixed gas in a regular fuel engine is (depends on how much mix is but ) it will smoke out the exhaust and fowl the spark plug or may not run at all.
one at a time
take the spark wire off, remove spark plug, put wire back on plug, put steel part of plug against the medal part of engine (with a insulated pare of pliers) then crank the motor over watch the electrode on end of plug if you see spark you have it if you don't ....
It may not ruin the engine, but it will foul the spark plug, making the engine run rich and/or hard to start. Will also emit a lot of gray smoke.
Put oil directly into the cylinder chamber. remove spark plug wire & spark plug. put oil in chamber & slowly turn the blade trying to free the engine piston.
pull the old spark plug out then put the new one>>>>>>.sukcer
If you put the spark plug leads back on in the wrong order the engine will most certainly miss fire. The best way is to find the number one spark plug wire and then follow clockwise the firing sequence for the engine.
If u mean still gets power as in compression and sprays fuel? then your problem is your spark plug check if your spark plug is working simply by unscrew it put the spark plug housing on and lay it on the head of the engine of the car. (make sure that the metal part on the side of the spark plug is touching the head of the engine) if you have no spark then get a new one or fix it if u know how..
