located in the distributor itself, follow wires coming from coil to distributor
how do you take the wires from the alternator on a 1997 Toyota Tercel
no
yes. I do not know the Corolla exactly, but most assemblies screw or snap out and the wires are connected with a connector that can be disconnected without cutting any wires. Take your time and do not break anything. Good Luck.
Sockets are behind the assembly. push the tab in and remove the wires from the lamp. Twist 1/4 turn and pull out. Replace bulb, twist 1/4 turn, plug in wires. For the left front, you will have to remove the battery to access the lamps.
Seeing what the wires are would allow a person to know which wire is which on a 1988 Toyota. It would be helpful to see what the wires are to know what they are for.
1) Take the top cover off of the mosquito magnet 2) On the Liberty (corded version), the igniter is right on the top of the catalytic converter held in place with a metal screw. 3) unscrew the screw and carefully pull out the igniter (they r very fragile). you will also have to either desolder the two wires from the control pcb or cut the wires half way. 4) u can test the igniter on the liberty by applying 12vdc to it with 1amp curent limit. DO NOT TOUCH THE IGNITER...IT WILL GET VERY HOT AND GLOW IF IT IS WORKING CORRECTLY. U MAY EMAIL ME AT SNP654@HOTMAIL. COM FOR MORE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDING THE LIBERTY PLUS. I HAVE REPAIRED AND FIXED MANY MAGNETS. USUALLY IT IS NOT A DAMAGED PART BUT AS SIMPLE AS A THOROUGH CLEANING OF ALL COMPONENTS (LP SOLENOID, THERMISTOR, IGNITOR, CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND CO2 FLOW PORTS)
Depends on which distributer cap you have. If it has separate wires just replace it. If the wires are part of the cap you replace the cap and all the wires. Not one of Toyota's better ideas. Runs $50-60.
Projecting from the back of the bulb is a plastic stem that the wires connect to. Grab the stem and turn it counter-clockwise just a bit to unlock it from the light assembly. It will then come out with the bulb right in it.
