it might not have spark, or the fuel pump could be bad, among many other things. i would go to a garage to have them diagnose

It would be helpful if you can explain the " won't start " Does the engine turn? If it turns does not fire? Was it running before?

Your Jimmy has a crankshaft position sensor mounted by your crankshaft pully in the front of your engine on the bottom. If the senor is bad your engine does not recognize that your engine is turning and will not fire the plugs. Try changing your sensor and your engine should start.
For most vehicles, the fuel pump only turns on briefly when you try to start the engine. If the engine doesn't start, the pump turns off. You need to test the fuel pressure with the engine running.

for this I would loosen the exhaust in front of the converter see if it will run . This was the problem with my 4 cyl s10. The convereter was clogged

If the fuel system is still holding pressure the car will start and run until the fuel runs out, The relay turns on the fuel pump.
