this is my truck and i have exhausted my options i have also replaced the thermostat. It's not just the dash vents it's also the defroster and floor. The heater cor works fine and the cold/hot cable is still connected on each end and the vent flap works to. please give me some suggestions. E-mail me at biddle26@Yahoo.com thanks
To fix a Jaguar S type heater, check the diverter mechanism. It shunts air through the heater core, which may not be operating properly.
The heater blower may not be working properly. Without the heater blower working, the air will not come through the vents.
An electric heater works by passing an electric current through a high resistance wire, causing it to heat up and produce heat through a process called Joule heating. The heat is then transferred to the surrounding air through convection, warming up the space.
A heater in a circuit converts electrical energy into thermal energy through resistive heating. When current flows through the heater's resistive element, it generates heat due to the resistance encountered by the electric current. This heat can be used for various applications, such as warming a space or heating fluids. Essentially, the heater increases the temperature of its surroundings by dissipating energy in the form of heat.
The mode of heat transfer from a room heater is convection. This process involves the transfer of heat through the movement of fluids or gases, such as air. The heater warms the air in the room, causing it to rise and circulate, thus heating the surrounding space.
A properly installed heat pump uses about one third of the electrical energy to produce the same amount of heat.
Yes, I know how to properly install a water heater strap for safety purposes.
It can be run through a resistor to produce heat, as in a convector heater, tumble dryer, toaster. It can be used to run electric lights, and it can be used to drive electric motors that produce mechanical energy.

Have you checked you heater control valve or heater core if working properly.
Yes they can, especially if the heater is not not properly installed or grounded.
To properly shut off the water supply to the water heater, locate the shut-off valve on the cold water pipe leading to the heater. Turn the valve clockwise to close it and stop the flow of water to the heater.
