No...not typically. A bad PS Pump can cause a vibration while turning the wheels at slow speeds, like in a parking lot etc. Most likely a vibration while driving would be caused by, Out of Balance or Out of Round Tires / Bent Wheels or Axles / Bad Wheel Bearings / Bad CV Axle / Bad U-Joint or Damaged Driveline (RWD & AWD) Vehicles. These are the areas you should be checking first for "Vibration While Driving" Posting the speed your vehicle vibrates can also be helpful. :)
maybe the car need to be linged up n check the power steering.
Yes, if the belt slips.
Power Steering Pump
DUE TO THE REASON OF ROUGH DRIVING and lack of oil in pump....
Check your power steering fliud, if it is low this could cause the vibration you are feeling.
Low power steering fluid or defective power steering pump.
If a bolt from the power steering box on your 1993 Jeep Cherokee has broken off, it is not advisable to drive the vehicle. The power steering system may be compromised, leading to increased steering effort and potential loss of control. Furthermore, driving with a broken bolt can cause further damage to the steering components. It's best to have it repaired before driving.
Power steering fluid helps your steering wheel turn easily. If you have dirty power steering fluid, it may be hard to turn your steering wheel while driving.
It will eventually seize the pump up and may cause damage.
* No power steering fluid in reservoir * The power steering pump is not operating
probably going to lose your steering
you may need more power steering fluid.
