Power Steering fluid helps your steering wheel turn easily. If you have dirty power steering fluid, it may be hard to turn your steering wheel while driving.
Flush it
What will happen if u I added power steering fluid to a leaking power steering pump
Low fluid and dirty fluids.
Your power steering will fail because brake fluid is poor lubricant.
your pump could be low on power steering fluid, your power steering belt could have came off if equiped with a separate belt and finally the pump could have failed from low fluid, or dirty fluid
Dark fluid means it's dirty and needs replacing.
Power steering box... Steering fluid level low, dirty or needs replacing... If power steering fluid is white then your box is damaged...
The obvious: It will become very hard to steer. The not so obvious: The power steering pump is lubricated with power steering fluid, and driving it dry could damage the pump.
dirty oil in system not drained from previous pump
power steering fluid is fluid that makes the power steering pump work and it goes in the power steering pump under the hood.
Not as bad as putting a little bit of power steering fluid in the brake reservoir, but I would have the power steering system flushed just the same. Problems wouldn't happen soon but in the long term they will.
The power steering fluid recommended is Mopar
