It would start and run but only idle. It would not be drivable.
Clean the carbeurator and lube the throttle cable.
Your throttle cable, needs to be adjusted.
When a throttle cable is too tight any slight tap on the gas pedal could cause the car to jerk forward. The throttle cable should be adjusted to allow more play on the pedal.
Another thing to check is the actual cable from the cruise control module to the throttle body. It will be right next to the accelerator cable on the throttle body.
Take it to a mechanic ASAP. This is very dangerous. a cause of is the throttle cable fraying replace the throttle cable.
If the cable appears to be in good shape, a dirty throttle body can cause that.
Since it is a throttle body, check to make sure that the cable is not binding, if it is, replace it. If the cable is free moving, it is either the Idle Air Control valve, or the Throttle Position Sensor. Those are the most common culprits.
unrestricted airflow into the intake. Check your throttle plate and associated sensors. Also gas pedal or cable may be binding or stuck holding the throttle open.
You hit something and busted it open
There is a button on your cable that runs from your throttle body to the tranny. The button is on the other side of the mounting bracket by the throttle body, you just need to press the button and there are grooves on the cable to set into adjustment. You should be able to slide the cable back and forth to adjust. Might be easier to see the button and adjust from the passenger side. Easy fix
I faulty cable may be the cause, the way to check this would be to swap out the suspect cable with a different one. If the situation improves it would be the cable if not it is something else.
It's an automatic idle, the motor needs to run at a higher RPM for a few moments to lubricate the valves and pistons, perfectly normal operation.
