Usually if you break a plug it is only the top white ceramic part. The only time this would be a problem is if your plugs are in the top of the head and down in a hole. They do make needle nose pliers long enough to reach down and get the plug. The ceramic part should have come out with the socket if using a regular spark plug socket. That would leave just the base. Take the socket and put a piece of tape on the inside of the socket on each face. Bring it out over the edge of the socket and onto the outside. This will make the socket enough smaller that it should hold on to the base of the spark plug so you can get it out.
If the spark plug is cracked and will not turn out on a 2000 Pontiac Montana, a person might have to remove the manifold to get at the plug. Removing the alternator can also help but if the plug is stuck, the manifold will have to come off to get the plug out.

Spark plugs have hex shoulders to use with socket tools. It would be near impossible to break the threaded shaft or hex off the plug. Assuming the porcelain top is what broke, you still need to use a socket to remove the remainder of the plug. If it is cross threaded, go to a parts store and get a thread chaser to clean the threads before trying another plug. The thing is, if the threads are crossed you will drop some filings into the cylinder. unless you can get everything out of the cylinder it will damage the walls causing ring failure or piston or valve damage. Many cars have alum heads so filings will not stick to a magnet. I suggest you follow steps above and use a shop vac with narrow tip to vacuum out the cylinder before cranking the engine. It's the best a do it yourselfer can do but it's a risk.
The best way to remove a stuck tub drain plug is to use a pair of pliers or a drain removal tool to grip the plug securely and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it. If the plug is still stuck, applying lubricant or using a hairdryer to heat the area can help loosen it.

There is a small plug on the inside panel, remove it and there is a release lever inside the door.
An impact wrench can be used to remove a frozen oil drain plug in a car. If the drain plug is frozen due to the weather, the best thing to do is to put the car in a heated garage for a few hours.
