Day time running lights?
If you want to turn off the running lights off try to engage the emergency brakes. I have a 2000 Montana and that works.
Connect a voltmeter across the battery terminals without engine running reading should be around 12.8 With engine running reading should be 13.8-14.2 if you are getting these numbers alternator is charging battery
Can be leaking from a hose not secured properly or a hole in the system.
Have you tried looking behind the center vents above the stereo?
you probably wont believe this, but the alternator bracket actually has coolant running through it. they leak pretty often. there is plastic pipes running to the bracket and the plastic corrodes. honest.
Bad alternator?Check output with a voltmeter - without engine running battery reading (fully charged) should be around 12.8 With engine running reading should be 13.8-14.2 if not probably a bad alternator
If the engine is running and the alternator is good. If the engine is not running, no.
disconnect the battery then look at the alternator should be right on top of the motor in the back left corner maybe 2 or 3 blots holding it in as well as 2 wires running to it very simple
with the motor running and radio off press buttons 1 and 4 on the radio this should unlock the radio
It sounds like the alternator is bad. If the alternator is bad the battery will not hold charge when running
An old quick trick is to remove the positive terminal from the battery while the car is running. If the car dies or runs very rough the odds are it's the alternator. A lot of auto stores will test the whole charging system for free.
