A single click and no response from the starter usually indicates a faulty starter relay/solenoid switch. It could also be a loose connection on the battery cable.
Check for a bad engine earth.
A single click when trying to start the engine is usually an indication of a loose battery cable/wire or a faulty starter solenoid/relay switch.
Sounds like the engine might have water in one or more of the cylinders. If you remove the spark plugs and turn the motor over, the water will squirt out and the engine should start after replacing the plugs.
Had this problem with my '87. I believe it was a bad fuel injector.
why wont my jet ski start, i put new starter an solenoid in an it still only clicks
That means your battery is very low and is not able to produce enough power to turn the engine over. Go to your local mechanic shop (once you have gotten a boost) and ask for an AVR test to see if the issue is only in your battery or if your alternator isn't charging it properly.
sounds like a weak battery or poor connection
I would say that you seized the engine by running it too long without enough oil in the crankcase. The reason the starter just clicks is that the engine is locked up, and when you try to start it, the engine cannot turn over.
Check the battery ground cable. It may be loose on either end. Also make sure it has continuity
Charge your battery or tighten the battery cables.
It clicks? What are you talking about clicking? you turn the key to start the car and all it will do is click, click! or when you try to start it it will spin over and then stop and click.! All I can think of if your car battery isn't good enough to start the car and you will get a click or you have a bad starter and it will only click. need more info
