It shouldn't. I have my earlobes pierced 3 times and I stretched my first hole just fine. Stretching the second hole is another story though. I tried to do the second one also and ended up having one of them rip and had to have it stitched back. I took the other one out when I saw it was doing the same thing. By the way, it's called stretching. Gauge only refers to size.

Presuming you want to do this on purpose, stretching the holes in pierced ears is called "gauging." The skin of your lobes is resilient, and can be gradually stretched using increasingly larger gauges, making the hole bigger slowly. It's something you want a professional to assist with, since you don't want to tear your lobes or cause scarring that misshapes the lobe.
Just like any other piercing... just add bigger gauge jewelry or use tappers i have my ears stretched to an inch and have stretched my lip ring to a 6 it doesn't hurt nearly as bad and heals way faster
Gauged ears are stretched piercings in the ear lobes or other parts of the ear. This process involves gradually increasing the size of the piercing hole using a stretching technique or by inserting larger jewelry to achieve the desired gauge size.
To repair a stretched ear hole, you can begin by allowing the area to heal naturally, which may take several weeks to months. If the hole is significantly stretched, consider visiting a professional piercer or dermatologist for options such as suturing or using a dermal filler. Additionally, you can use silicone plugs or tape to help the skin heal and minimize the appearance of the stretch during the recovery period. Always keep the area clean and avoid further stretching to promote healing.
