Can mascara affect your eyes

Mascara contains petrolatum which make your eyelashes thinner in the long term. To prevent mascara from running, it contains laquer which is also used in paint and varnishes. Over a period of time, laquer encourages cause eyelashes to fallout.

It is not bad for your eyes. You should just wash it off before you go asleep. Don't ever share your makeup either with your friends. Try not to get it in your eyes because it can make your eyes itchy and if you itch it it can make your eyes red or sore or even a little infection if not washed off or cured.

Mascara can damage eyesight if you use it incorrectly, or if you are sensitive or allergic to an ingredient in it. Make sure that you get a new mascara every three months, that you wash it off every evening, and that you don't rub your eyes when you wear it. Talk to an eye doctor if you're not sure, or if it feels bad to wear it.

Not really. I have always had a rule of thumb for picking mascara and that if it isn't washable I don't buy it. I figure that if it can't be taken off with soap and water there must be chemicals in it that can't be really good for the eyes.

if u leev it on overnight, u could get eyelash-mites (yea gross)

Some people I know have had allergic reactions to certain mascaras, meaning they couldn't wear them because it made their eyes water. Other than that, it shouldn't bother you much!
