Its not recommended. It is going to damage your hair and it is also not good to do it with wet hair since you can get burnt. It is always better to dry your hair then put in the heated curlers; your hair wil come out amazing.

How does curlers curl your hair?

Curlers(with heat) curl your hair because of we'll the heat. The heat allows your hair to be perfectly curled except it can damage your hair. I don't use them. If you want heatless, yet perfect soft bouncy heatless curls, all you need is foam curlers. If you add water( damp hair ), (add mousse is optional), and start rolling after applying water. I don't use mousse but it works without it plus you are not adding achohal in your hair and you hair won't take that long to dry. Also your hair won't be dry and sort of "crunchy". I hope this was helpful. Jasmine Styles

How can you make straight hair wavy without using heat?

To make straight hair wavy without using heat, you can try braiding your hair while it's damp and leaving it overnight. Alternatively, you can twist sections of your hair into loose buns and secure them before bed to achieve a wavy texture in the morning. Using setting lotions or mousse can also help enhance and define the waves.
