Pain of Monroe PiercingsI got my monroe pierced yesterday, and let me tell you, i was so nervous. I hate needles and i can't handle a lot of pain. i have already got my helix pierced and a bunch on my ears, but i wanted this piercing because i think its really cute. So i go to my piercer (btw you should really research a piercer and such because a good piercer can make all the difference) she takes me back after getting everything ready. She cleans out the inside of my mouth and the outsides. Puts a dot where i want it and then puts the clamps on. Let my tell you now, the clamps hurt WAY more then the needle. when she put the needle through i honest to god didnt feel it. there was NO PAIN. it was uncomfortable, but it didnt hurt. there was a little blood put it was all good. it took maybe 10 mins to do. It takes awhile to get used to it in your mouth. I'm still not used to it. It might swell, its all different for every person. mine hasn't swollen that bad and there still isn't any pain. Getting my helix pierced hurt WAYYY more then my lip. Make sure to properly care for it, and it shouldn't hurt and will heal a lot faster. I say, if you really want it, go for it, its totally worth it!

How painful is a tongue piercing?

The initial piercing is not painful. The only thing felt is the pressure of needle. The clamp on the tongue hurts more than the actual piercing. The healing after is the painful part. The tongue will swell, and the muscle will be sore. As the tongue adjust to the metal and heals itself from the initial tear and swelling, the pain will subside, generally over a few days following the piercing. By experience, a piercing in the upper cartilage hurts more than a piercing in the tongue.

How bad is the pain of a nose ring compared to a tongue ring hurt you got your nose done and want your tongue?

I've had my nose done, and now i have my tongue. I say that the nose hurts more, but it depends on the people, but the tongue is one of the piercing that hurt less.. For the people that say the clamps are the worst, their wrong. But trust me, it really doesn't hurt that bad. All you have to do is be careful, you have a hard time eating because your tongue is so swollen.
