No, highlights are bleach which is different than color. Color coats the hair, while bleach removes pigmentation from the hair, to take out highlights you have to either color over them, or wait for them to grow out.
no once you have put the highlights in you have to wat the amount your hair styilest tells you then you take a shower to wash out the extra color then youll still have highlights
Impossible. You have two options though, you can simply wait for your hair to grow out, then chop off the dyed hair, or you can bleach it and then dye it your natural hair color or the color you desire.

Yes, you can color your hair to one color. The color you choose will over take the highlights as long as it doesn't have built in highlights itself.I would recommend you see your Hairdresser in regards to the highlights because some hair dyes can contrast with highlights and cause a very unusual hair color. Because of this see your hairdresser.Call the Clairol color hotline:Call us Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, or Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm1-800-252-4765 already tried...I had dark blonde hair, and I got blonde highlights. I got bored with it so I dyed my hair dark brown. Some parts were lighter because of the blonde highlights, but it didn't turn green or anything. So I say it would be ok to go ahead and change colors.
No! If you're wanting to do this for a fun hair color, it's a bad idea! The nail polish will dry and your hair will clump together and be sticky for a while. When it's dry, it'll be stiff, hard and clumpy. To get it out, you'll have to use nail polish remover which will not only take forever, but potentially damage your hair. The acetone could dry your hair and skin, and irritate your scalp. Not only that, but the fumes would be quite overwhelming! Try a temporary hair color spray or gel.
because it will take the colour our of the hair
Test it yourself. It apparently is too risky to try.
a whole make over of blonde hair colour!
Pick a hair dye that is specifically made to be used on gray hair, and the covering of gray hair. It will take to hair with no color for longer.
